What Kind of Materials Can a Dumpster Hold?
We can accept many different kinds of household and construction materials. It doesn’t matter if you have to dispose of unwanted materials from a bathroom remodel or a landscaping project, there’s a good chance we accept them.
- Tree branches
- Dirt
- Concrete
- Tiles
- Shingles
This is just a short list of the materials we accept. If we stated all of the possible materials, we would run out of room!
Are There Materials That Are Prohibited from Being Placed in a Dumpster?
We do not accept hazardous or flammable waste in our dumpsters because it can become a threat to the public health and the environment. We cannot send hazardous waste to the landfills because it is highly regulated on the local, state and federal level. We have to keep it separate from the municipal waste stream.
- Car tires
- Wet Paints
- Stumps
- Car Batteries
- Railroad Ties
These are popular items people tend to want to throw in our dumpsters. If you are unsure of the items we do not accept, please ask one of our customer service reps before you throw it away.
What You Should Know About the 10 Yard Special Use Dumpster
When customers call in, they are sometimes unaware of our special use dumpster. Our 10 yard special use dumpster is specifically for heavy items such as clean concrete, brick, block and dirt. So, if you’re doing a construction or landscaping project, there’s a good chance you’ll want to rent this size dumpster.
There are a few terms you should be aware of when you rent the special use dumpster. Since the items you will be disposing of will be heavy, it can only be filled halfway.
